5 Mocktails To Make You Merry This Season

Alcohol is nice in small doses, but too much can leave you feeling a little worse for wear! So this Christmas, chill out with friends with these fun Mocktails.

Tasty and gorgeous, there’s no limit to how much you can drink!

Pomegranate Sparkling Mocktail

Fizzing with Christmas spirit, this slightly tart but oh so refreshing drink is only 266 calories a glass!

If you do want to avoid excess weight gain over this festive period, the most effective thing you can do is cut out alcohol.

So whip up these super easy and delicious treats and you can enjoy guilt-free drinking with your friends!

What You’ll Need:

  • 32 oz 100% pomegranate juice
  • 2 cups sugaror 1 cup Domino Blend, or 3-4 tablespoons Stevia, half the calories of sugar, zero calories
  • 2 8 oz cans sparkling waterLime LaCroix, Orange, and Cran-Raspberry are great too
  • 8 candy canessugar-free is optional
  • ice

(Remember cooking is about experimenting, so don’t feel pressure to use certain flavors or brands… mix it up as much as you’d like!)

Let’s Do It!

Grenadine:

  1. In a saucepan, bring pomegranate juice to boil. Reduce heat and simmer until liquid is reduced by half about 15 – 20 minutes. Add sugar/natural sweetener and stir until completely dissolved.
  2. Pour into a sealable container and refrigerate until completely chilled (will last several weeks in the fridge).

Sparkling Mocktail:

  1. Combine ½ cup flavored water with 1 ½ – 2 tablespoons grenadine, to taste.
  2. Fill with ice and stir gently then add the candy cane and serve!

Iced Mint Protein Mochas

I know what you’re thinking, iced coffee in winter!? But when thinking of cocktails, heat doesn’t come to mind unless it’s in reference to the weather! Sure you can have these steaming, but we’re making mocktails, not cocoa.

Again, the choice is entirely up to you and these will be just as delicious hot as they are cold. How could they not be? There is no better combination than mint and chocolate!

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 cup chilled coffee
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 5-6 mint leaves
  • 1 scoop chocolate Primal Fuel
  • 1 heaping tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 5 drops of stevia (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey
  • extra mint leaves, to garnish
  • 1 cup of ice cubes

Let’s Do It!

  1. Place all ingredients (except garnishing mint leaves and ice cubes) in a blender and blend until well blended. You want to make sure that there are no chunky mint leaves remaining.
  2. Place ice into two cups, pour mocha mixture into the cups and garnish with mint leaves. And cute straws, obviously.

  • maraschino cherries
  • ice

Lets Do It!

  1. Pour grenadine over ice
  2. Top with 7Up
  3. Garnish with maraschino cherries if desired

So brighten up your holiday with this vivid seasonal beverage (and lets be honest, you’ll love it so much, you’ll probably drink it the year through!)

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 .13oz packets Unsweetened Lemon-Lime Kool-Aid
  • 2 Cups Sugar
  • 1 12oz Can Pineapple Juice
  • 1 12oz Frozen Lemonade Concentrate, thawed
  • 1/2 liter of Sprite
  • Ice
  • Red Sanding Sugar for Glass Trim

Let’s Do It!

  1. Pour 2 quarts of water in a 1 gallon pitcher.
  2. Add the Kool-aid mix and sugar and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Add the pineapple juice and lemonade and stir well.
  4. To top the rim of a glass, dip the top in water then dip into the sanding sugar.
  5. Just before serving, add the Sprite and ice.

Cranberry Fizz

For those of you who like a bit of sophistication, this is definitely one to try!

Classy and elegant, its festive red hue is perfect for the season. Not to mention that cranberries are as synonymous with Christmas as gingerbread!

What You’ll Need:

  • 3 ounces of sparkling cider or ginger ale
  • 3 ounces of cranapple juice
  • splash of lemon or lime juice
  • 3 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon completely blended
  • ice

Let’s Do It!

  1. Rub alemon or lime around the rim of your glass and then dip into the sugar/cinnamon mix.
  2. Fill the glass with ice.
  3. Add the cranapple.
  4. Add a splash of fresh lemon juice or lime.
  5. Top off with sparkling cider or ginger ale.
